Donor Support Specialist – Girl Scouts San Diego

The Donor Support Specialist will support the fundraising team through day-to-day management and accuracy of the donor database (Raiser’s Edge), and providing administrative support for projects, campaigns, report generation and preparation, and other tasks as assigned.

Your work will include:

  • Processing all donations in a consistent and timely manner; ensuring the accuracy and quality of recorded donor records and gift information.
  • Producing acknowledgement letters for all donors ensuring letters are meaningfully tailored to the donor’s intent.
  • Gathering and preparing reports and records for philanthropy team members and council leadership.
  • Providing administrative support and performing other duties as assigned to support business objectives and initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments and teams to complete assigned work or projects.

Your skills and experience:

  • At least two years’ experience providing donor database management or administrative support in a philanthropy/fundraising environment.
  • Experience using Raiser’s Edge or similar donor database
  • Proficiency in MS Office software including Word and Excel required.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, to communicate with a culturally diverse population.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and have excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation. Daily and/or occasional travel may be required.
  • Must have belief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting, be willing to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Promise and Law, and aware of the needs of girls in our pluralistic society.

Salary: From $19 per hour.
