The opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly self-motivated candidate, looking to integrate their Raiser’s Edge database background with a global humanitarian organization and bring significant contribution to our mission.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for donor database integrity, general system operation and some software integrations. This position will be responsible for donor gift entry and ensure appropriate donor correspondence.

In addition to database responsibilities, this position provides a variety of administrative support related to finances, fundraising and the overall day to day operations of the organization. These include maintaining and ordering inventory of stationery and office, kitchen, restroom, and mailing supplies.

Who we are:

International Relief Teams (IRT) alleviates human suffering caused by poverty and disaster around the globe by sending volunteer teams, financial support, relief supplies, and other assistance to where it is needed most. Since our founding over 30 years ago, IRT has delivered more than $574 million in aid to 75 countries worldwide.

  1. International and Domestic Disaster Relief – we provide relief supplies (food, water, hygiene supplies, construction materials, etc.) and medical and/or construction personnel as needed in response to natural and man-made disasters.

  1. Building Healthy Communities – this includes providing for the nutrition and education needs of abandoned children, providing medicines and medical supplies to hospitals and clinics serving the poor, deploying volunteer teams to provide surgeries, eyeglasses, and house construction in vulnerable communities, and providing weekend food to low-income local schoolchildren and their families.

Overview:

The Database Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the Raiser’s Edge NXT database and related applications, as well as ensuring the integrity and accuracy of donor information. The ideal candidate will develop and manage custom reports in Raiser’s Edge to facilitate the work of the development team. This includes database cleanup, daily imports, records maintenance, identifying trends, and creating custom fundraising reports. The role includes monitoring the integrity of the information contained in the database and determining how to translate data into usable, actionable information for designing fundraising strategies and metrics. This is a collaborative role that will serve diverse internal departments and team members.

Main Duties:

• Responsible for daily operations related to Raiser’s Edge NXT CRM and related applications.

• Responsible for implementing data entry best practices and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data in the platform.

• Designs, builds, and delivers reports to facilitate the work of the development team.

• Assists with data needs, and ad-hoc reports or queries, as requested by all departments.

• Designs and updates timely fundraising dashboards and provides donor updates to development team.

• Serves as the main point of contact for all Raiser’s Edge database issues and questions and provides outstanding support to users.

• Provides Raiser’s Edge database training, including policies and procedures, to all users and oversees security features, accounts, roles, and privileges for users.

• Assists in developing written policies, procedures, and training materials for processing and data management.

• Maintains confidentiality regarding all gifts and other office assignments.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with donor data systems, preferably Blackbaud data systems, in a nonprofit fundraising setting.

• Blackbaud Professional Certification preferred.

• Resourceful, critical thinker who uses sound judgement and can problem-solve.

• Extensive experience importing and exporting data.

• Extensive knowledge of donor database management and reporting.

• Demonstrated skill in developing queries, reports, and dashboards.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to data integrity and quality of work.

• Ability to take initiative, work independently and perform as a team player.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

• Positive attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Outstanding organizational skills.

• Passionate and committed about International Relief Teams’ mission.
