East Tennessee Children's Hospital will improve the health of children through exceptional, comprehensive family-centered care, wellness, and education.

The Development Operations Coordinator oversees operations of the Development department, especially the software solutions. The coordinator is responsible for departmental informatics which includes coordination of donor prospect and donor information. The coordinator will direct the Development department’s stewardship program ensuring consistency among gift officers, as well as implementing modifications for differences in portfolios. The coordinator will serve as the database administrator and is responsible for all operations of our software systems—from data entry to reporting. The coordinator will ensure the departments are in compliance with any regulatory agencies. The coordinator will serve as an advisor on best practices for the above operations.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Minimum Work Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience with data entry, finance/banking and development systems, such as Raiser's Edge software preferred

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge fundraising software
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exhibits professional demeanor with staff, board members, physicians, constituents, and donors
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain the complete confidentiality of donor and patient’s information

Medium lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-20 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 100 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
