Events Module - Company Purchased Tables

Options

We have a gala coming up and I wanted to know everyone else's best practices around handling company-purchased tables/grouped tickets.

EX - Law Firm LLP buys a table for our benefit which includes ten tickets. Through the online registration form, it shows as ONE registrant with a contact “Jane Doe”

How would you add the guests to this registration so that your attendance total is 10 rather than just the 1 registrant?

  • @Elizabeth Sarkaday - our gala is structured this way as most of our participants/attendees are guests of a corporate sponsor. We register the company, put Corporate Sponsor in the Participation field and then mark them “Do Not Register” in the Registration field. This way, they don't pull into an attendee list or into the seating wizard as the corporation is not attending, the guests are attending. Then, when we get the names of the attendees for the table, we add them as Guests and mark them as Registered in the Registration field. This way, the count is correct. This works for us in either RE7 Event module or in RENXT Event tab.

@Elizabeth Sarkaday - we are using NXT and we create a registration form for each company, with the form registrant limit set to the number of seats the company gets (2 tables would be 20 seats, 1 table would be 10 seats). We then send that link the the company contact and have them either share it with employees or with an EA for the EA to complete.

Yes, it's a bit of work in the front end, but really really really helpful in that all the participants come in to the event without staff interaction. We can then seat the participants based on which registration form was used.
