Trinity Habitat for Humanity is seeking a volunteer coordinator that will also have prospect research duties.

General Description: Under the direction of the Senior Director of Development, the Volunteer Coordinator is an agency Problem Solver. Broadly speaking he or she has responsibility for engaging new partners and creating new relationships with a variety of people and community groups. The Volunteer Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include the recruitment, scheduling and coordination of groups and individual volunteers as well as coordinating of volunteer events and build days. The Volunteer Coordinator is also responsible for monitoring program effectiveness through evaluation instruments leading to recommendations for program enhancement and improvement. Lastly, the Volunteer Coordinator will provide administrative support for the development team and execute strategies to identify and research qualified prospects for corporations, faith groups and organizations in collaboration and cooperation with the Corporate and Community Giving officers.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Schedule volunteers for construction, main office and special events.

2. Coordinate and schedule partner families’ sweat equity hours.

3. Assist with recruitment, training and retention of new volunteers and volunteer groups.

4. Respond to volunteer inquiries received via phone, email, third party, or in-person within 24 hours on inquiry.

5. Schedule volunteers according to the build schedules.

6. Visit all job sites to check-in volunteers and coordinate volunteers between sites using personal vehicle.

7. Meet and greet volunteers at the job site.

8. Take pictures of all projects and groups and post to social media.

9. Coordinate, train and grow the Site Host program

10. Responsible for administration and maintenance of VolunteerHub, Trinity Habitat’s online volunteer scheduling system.

11. Conduct regular volunteer satisfaction surveys and communicate results.

12. Ensure that volunteer liability waivers are signed and filed.

13. Assist with the creation and maintenance of an e-newsletter for core Volunteers.

14. Manage volunteer events such as build days, build, and moves and, blitz builds. 15. Complete weekly construction schedule.

16. Assist with the cultivation of on-site volunteers

17. Manage post event activities (i.e., thank you letters, birthday cards, follow-up calls, etc.)

18. Participate in speaking engagements and Volunteers as needed to spread the word about Habitat and recruit volunteers.
