Updating Welcome Series Content

Question:

Our welcome series is already going out on a recurring delivery. We need to update one of our Welcome Series Messages with new content. How do I go about that?

Answer:

When you log in as admin, navigate to Email -->> Email Campaigns -->> then click the "Manage" link next to the Welcome Series email campaign. Once there, you will then click on the "Messages" tab.

Next, click on "Return to Draft" -- IMPORTANT: when you click to return to draft, there will be a notif message that pops up -- when you return a message to draft, all of the currently configured recurring deliveries will be cancelled. This is the only way to make edits to the messages -- the deliveries will be cancelled when the message is returned to draft.

Now that the message is in draft mode, you can click edit next to the message, and make your changes to the message.

Once the message is updated to your liking, you'll want to approve the message, and then from the Deliveries tab, you will want to click on the link in the left hand side that says "Set up a Recurring Delivery". When you set up a recurring delivery, you will configure the initial delivery date as well as the timing for the follow up deliveries. If you would like to use the same set up that was in place before, don't forget that you can "review" the old deliveries that were set up by navigating to the deliveries tab, and then clicking on the "Recurring deliveries" section to review your "expired" recurring deliveries (they are expired because they got cancelled when the messages were returned to draft).

By reviewing the previous deliveries, you should be able to see the audiences etc that you'll need to set up to ensure that the message is set up as it was before. Post back here if we can provide more detail to help you get these messages updated.
