Gigya configuration

I was wondering if anyone is using Gigya - we were not sure if we could use it because it said:

Note:

The URL you enter must be the top‐

level domain of the site which is hosted by Convio.

Our site isn't hosted by Convio, our donation page is.

Does anyone know?

I registered through the form and now have to separately add the facebook and twitter accounts to Gigya as well.

I think it is talking just about the site's domain that is just hosted by Convio. For instance you might own http://www.foo.org which is your main site but you might have made a subdomain for any of your Convio hosted donaton forms so you point the subdomain of http://secure.foo.org to Convio while the main domain still points to your other site. I believe this is just asking for what your Convio domain is without anything else after the .org/.

Does that make sense?

Gotcha, so yeah if you haven't set up a custom subdomain then it should just be http://shortname.convio.net so in your case it should be http://fbsj.convio.net.

Hi,

If the only Convio-powered pages you have are served from secure3.convio.net you can leave the URL as www.foodbanksj.org (though it would actually be better to change it *.foodbanksj.org). As long as you followed the link on the screen for setting up your Gigya account that appears on the Open Authentication (or Social Sharing) tab under Constituent 360 -> Social Media, Gigya will add *.convio.net to the list of domains for your account. This URL looks like: https://www.gigya.com/site/Register.aspx?ref=Convio.

Changing to *.foodbanksj.org will also allow you to use Open Authentication and Social Sharing in the future should you decide to have a subdomain under your primary domain with pages served by Convio (something like donate.foodbanksj.org) or if you're website is ever entirely served by Convio.

If you ever have Convio pages served from a domain other than foodbanksj.org or convio.net (such as fbsj.org) you can contact Convio support and they will work with Gigya to add that domain name to your account.

Thanks, I just added fbsj.convio.net - and i will use that for all of the link between our site, convio, and social media networks.
