RE Pivot Reports Function - After Feb 28, what now?

Options

With the recent removal of the integration of Microsoft Suite, what are people thinking in regards to Pivot Reports? This function is used a lot in my organization, and by removing Excel within RE, this will majorly affect workflow. (ie. having to export the information and then create pivot reports every time, vs. having the template within RE and just re-running it with new information)

Does anyone have any suggestions? Am I misunderstanding this roll-out? Anything regarding this topic will be helpful!

Hi @Diana Bronsema - If you have the Queue module there may be a way to automate this process, especially for exporting data.

My plan so far is to copy and paste the query data into the Data tab and then refresh the pivot report.

  • You can also export the data as csv then link an Excel spreadsheet with the report to the data and refresh, this saves copying and pasting. But it is best to include a date field somewhere so you can check you have up to date data.

  • That's a good idea as well, thank you :)

  • Thank you! This is what we most likely will do moving forward. It's unfortunate the integration with excel is being removed.

  • You should check out Bill Connors' web page. He makes a brilliant point of focusing on what can be done now with the time and resources that are available.

Question 13 - What should I do about my pivot reports?
