RE database view will not open

Options

RE Database view has been weird the past few weeks. I can login and click the database view from the pancakes when I first get to work. After I have completed the tasks I click the logout and exit as needed. Later in the day I try to go back to the database view and it will not open. I have check the database options as well. The system shows it is unlocked and a “Cloudy” section (for lack of a better word) shows no log ins but does not fully load. A big green circle just keeps flashing slowly.

Has anyone else had this problem?

  • database view not opening has just happened to me too. Ironically it was right after I'd read this post in the Weekly Digest. It had been working fine all morning. I'm on hold for chat.

    @Julianne McKeel - Have you tried the usual trouble-shooting steps? Logging completely out of BB.com and closing your browser… restarting your machine… etc?

  • We have this issue OFTEN since switching to Azure. BB says it happens when you don't exit the db view way correctly - either you aren't doing"File/exit" or you walk away and the session times out. Attached is what I put together for our users. In some cases, “terminate” still doesn't work and a few of us have had to have BB do it on their end (which can take several hours). Ok, for some reason, my document won't upload :-(

  • It must be the size of the document because I tested with a 1 page document and it worked. Let me see if I can mail to you directly.

    Hi @Rose Dixon, Thanks for sharing your wonderful document. I saved your document as a PDF and the file size shrank and it allowed me to attach it. Issues opening database view and or error messages while in database view.pdf

    Thank you Rose and Elizabeth, this issue always rears it head and I walk through these procedures, now I saved it for future reference instead of typing them out in an email.

  • In trying to troubleshoot my own situation today, I was in touch with BB Support to find out why I don't have the “Database Options” option in my pancakes drop down menu, and they said it's because my org is not hosted on Azure. So if you don't see this lovely option available for yourself, it may be that's why.
