Duplicate Suppression Adds More Results

Options

I have found that the last few queries I have pulled have yielded more results, somehow AFTER I suppress duplicates. And usually it's by a lot. ex: I just pulled a list that gave me 614 records. When I chose to suppress dupes and reran, it spat 1411 out at me. Any idea as to why?

Keep in mind that query is a grouping tool. A rubber band if you will. I NEVER worry about duplicates in my query results because it typically has to do with the fields you are displaying in output. If there are one-to-many fields in your output, you will see one row for every possible field in your output.

My recommendations is to create your query make sure it is pulling the correct constituents (or gifts or whatever you are pulling). Then you will use Export (not exported query results - the Export section of RE) to run a final list.

What is the criteria in your query? And what are your output fields?
