For Tributes clients, what challenges were you trying to overcome with your purchase of Tributes?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get a sense of the many reasons an organization might need a product like Tributes. I'd like to hear from you concerning the specific challenges you were facing when you decided to purchase Tributes. I imagine that the challenges include:

  • We had a wide variety of constituencies that wanted to show their support for us in a more public fashion than simply making a donation, and other products were too specific to fit the needs of many of the constituencies. For example, we had recipients of our programs/services, the friends and families of the recipients, program operators, and general citizens passionate about our mission, and special events were not applicable to all of these groups.

  • We had successfully engaged our constituents but needed a different way to up the ante on their enagement

  • We needed a way to let the most passionate supporters work on our behalf all year round, not just in event season

  • We are a multi-affiliate organization, and not all of our affiliates needed/wanted to use TeamRaiser to empower constituents to have personal fundraising efforts

  • Our constituents typically have very inspirational stories to tell and we needed a way to let our constituents tell their stories in a more scalabel fashion than StoryBuilder

Please comment on any of the above, or feel free to communicate your own reasons.

  • Wow, sure is quiet in here.

We purchased Tributes some time ago, but are just now beginning to implement it.

We are a cancer advocacy organization that does not specifically do events, but folks frequently contact us and want to have a form for donations to us that they can customize. We also wanted to give our advocates an opportunity to build some community while fundraising for us.
