SSL badge on donation forms is broken

Options
We're a long-time client, and back in the day Convio (as they were known) recommended that we put the following code on our pages to display our SSL badge.

<convio:session name="66" param="payment/verisign_seal.tpt"></convio:session>

In more recent years convio.net switched to Geotrust, but they updated that file to generate the Geotrust 'smarticon'. However, the 'smarticon' from Geotrust is no longer supported (Digicert.com now owns them and has retired the 'smarticon') and this causes a broken image to appear on our donation forms -- hardly inspiring of confidence.

Blackbaud/Luminate, as the owner/manager of the convio.net domain that hosts our donation forms, are in charge of the convio.net SSL certs, and it seems from Digicert that only the cert manager can log in and get the correct badge code. It would be useful if Blackbaud were to do so, and either share that code here OR update the old broken code in "payment/verisign_seal.tpt".

  • Hi William,

This is a known issue that is currently being investigated and is due to some issues on the Geotrust side of things. If you'd like to be added to the master ticket/case and be notified as soon as this is updated, please reach out to Blackbaud Support and let them know.

    Thanks so much,
    Robin
