Unpublishing/Forwarding Donation Forms with Recurring Gifts

Hello,


We currently market 9 programs. Those 9 programs have several services under each of them. So each year, when it comes time to market a specific service for one of the 9 programs, we have to create a new donation form. You can imagine that this has led us to have HUNDREDS of donation forms.


I am wanting to unpublish several of the older donation forms, and forward them to the newest version. If the older donation forms have recurring gifts associated with them, can I still unpublish and forward them? Or will that affect the recurring gifts?

Also, if I unpublish them, I won't be able to run transaction reports on them anymore, will I?

Hi Amanda,


You can unpublish those forms and it won't affect your recurring gifts. Those gifts will continue to come in and they'll show up on reports attributed to the original form.


If you're running something like a donation by transaction report and want to specifically look at an unpublished form, go to step 3 "Form Filtering", just scroll through the list of forms until you get to the "Inactive" section and there you can find old forms to see their donations.

One caution that I would add is that if you happen to use Omatic LO Integration to bring your LO gifts into RE then you CANNOT unpublish forms that were used for sustaining gifts.
