custom link to auto-populate gift preferences box

When using an online express donation page is there a way to using a custom link (like a magic link) to auto-populate a custom entry in the "gift preferences" box, I am aware that a magic link can be used to select a particular drop-down designation fund, but for our purposes, we do not want to have a fund for each of our 300 projects, we would like the ability to create a custom link for a donor to use to specify a gift for each of these projects through. We have been using NetCommunity and there is a fairly simple way to do this with a NetCommunity page.
