Tracking Foundation contacts, proposals, outreach, etc.

My organization currently tracks grant requests, proposals, contacts, stewardship, etc. for foundations outside of our Raiser's Edge database. We basically use a shared spreadsheet between multiple departments and no one person centrally manages it. Does anyone have recommendations on ways to track this information in RE or if there are other tools that would facilitate this?

  • For tracking grant requests and proposals:

    Do you have the Prospect module? We use proposals/opportunities to track the movements of our grant proposals. Since you can customize the status table to fit your needs you can easily create the steps that work for your organization.

    If you don't have the Prospect module, you can so the same thing using constituent attributes and use actions to track the details of the grant proposal


    For tracking contacts and stewardship:

    I would use actions to track this, You can configure action type to help with your tracking and who does what or who needs to do what.
