Best Practice for inputting corporate donations from multiple executive donors that changes the corp email address

We have some organizations with multiple people (HR Director, VP. etc) donating on the organization's behalf. When the donation data is imported the most recent organization's representing donor's information replaces the past one in the organization information. Does anyone have a best practice to ensure that the Org information never changes but instead the new contact information is still captured somewhere (especially the name and email address, as it is usually with our online donations)? I think the is partly human error, partly a field mapping error and partly a process/policy error. Love some help please.

    I think you are correct in that something just needs to be adjusted in your import process. You didn't say what process was bringing in the data. If it's OLX or NetCommunity, it may require opening the record and manually adding the new person's info and then rejecting the updates that it automatically wants to make. Seems like those platforms will create an individual record for the person donating so I haven't experienced it replacing info.


    Knowing how your info is coming into RE might help with a solution. Hopefully someone who uses that platform will be able to offer more help.
