Metrics Reporting

I am looking for ideas and solutions for the best way to regularly report donor metrics. We currently have all metrics being pulled by individual queries that need to be updated and pulled separately. The information is then put into excel docs. This is a time consuming process and leads to lots of varying data when looking back and pulling historical data.


Some of the metrics we pull include: housefile YTD, table of gifts, retention at varying levels, conversion at varying levels, new donor YTD and sources, upgrade and downgrade YTD.


I am wondering what your process for reporting metrics is and what metrics do you report? Thanks!

  • You are looking at all the right metrics, it is frustrating that you have to jump through complicated hoops to get to them.


    You can get the retention, YTD numbers, new donor conversion from the Reporting dashboards in NXT. You could also build a dashboard with Report Builder using some of the prebuilt insights. I still haven't seen a great gift table yet, but hopefully that helps.

    Did you ever figure out the upgrade/downgrade report? We need this too and I can't figure it out.
