Beginning this morning, issues with logging in, staying connected, and more - (anyone else?

Options
I was disconnected, as in database view completely shut down, while trying to run an query this morning.  I logged out of citrix and logged back in to RE.  Within a couple of minutes, I got the citrix disconnected message and let it go, because database view was up but not responding to anything.   Finally, I had to close it all out manually.  When database view is not locked up or closed down,  I cannot work productively because the mouse is jumping all around when I move it, and it is acting as if RE does not want to allow the mouse outside of the database window.

Also, the colors are faded again.

Anyone else experiencing these issues ?

  • Oh yes, it was horrible earlier in the week. In addition to my cursor jumping around, files were randomly saving on the personal drives of my coworkers instead of mine and then I couldn't retrieve the files because of the system restrictions. We thought it might be continuing problems referred to in the RE issue alert #000150862, but it seemed to be resolved by the time I logged in yesterday.

  • Heather Pauli‍    Does your org use ImportOmatic?   Did your mouse issues just clear up on their own, or did you have to take some steps to correct it?

Thank you for responding.  I was wondering if I was alone with these problems. :)
  • We do use it, but I'm not involved with the operation of IOM. I was getting the Citrix disconnected message sporadically and rebooted my system a few times over those two problematic days, (even made someone come over to look at my sad attempts to maneuver around the screen with my jumpy mouse so I had a witness!) then gave up and restarted my computer before I left on Tuesday night and everything was working again when I came in on Wednesday morning.
  • Pretty much what happened to me.  Everything was suddenly messed up, and then suddenly began working again.   Blackbaud support told me the mouse issue was a problem with Omatic, so I was just wondering if anyone experienced the mouse issues who did not use omatic at all.

    Thank You :)
  • Issues were definitely not related to me using Omatic, although another person who had experienced the jumpy mouse does work with IOM, so I will have to let her know that BB support suggested they were tied. I was just glad to know I wasn't seeing things!
  • I was having similar problems last Friday afternoon.  After it randomly closed and I wasn't able to get it to load back up again, I rebooted and checked the Citrix status.  Apparently it was still somehow running.  I tried logging out manually, tried forcing things to close, and was generally having little luck getting it to run at any point during this, I tried contacting support.  Magically things started working again (because of course they would).  I do have IOM, but the only thing I've noticed for the last 6 months is it causing tabbing problems after running it that seem to resolve themselves once I log out and back in again.
