is there a limit to the number of recipients that are sent a test email at one time in Online Express? I usually send a couple out and they come through pretty quickly. I send a text to a larger group today 11:25 am and it's now 12:10 and nothing has come through.

  • Hi Judith McLean‍. Did your test email eventually arrive? I don't believe we impose a hard and fast limit on the number of recipients who can receive a test message (a quick test with 20 recipients was successful for me). If by chance you're still seeing an issue with test messages not arriving, that would be a good thing to connect with our Support team about.‍

  • I had more than twenty (I think maybe 40) but
it never did go through. I ended up resending it in batches of four
which worked. I would be helpful to know what the max is – we don’t
usually send anything out this way but would like to know what the
    parameters are anyway,

    Thanks for the follow up,

    Judith

  • Hi again Judith McLean‍. Ok we dig deeper and I think we know what was likely happening for you. It turns out OLX does indeed only make use of the first 10 non-duplicated email addresses you enter in the box‍ for email addresses to send test messages to. I ran an additional test with 40 addresses and confirmed receipt of the test message by some of the first few addresses entered in the list. So I'm confident that OLX isn't blocking delivery to all recipients if you exceed the count of 10....it's just that the 11th and all additional recipients just won't get the test email at all.

We'll have a look into more helpful instruction and better validation to make this behavior clearer in that area of OLX.

    Thanks Judith!
