Query/List - Cumulative minus certain gifts

Options
Thank you in advance for any suggestions! I work with RE NXT. My boss has asked for a query/list of donors that cumulative gave $25k minus certain gifts (art sale & ticket sale). Is there a way to do this? I made a list with cumulative giving of $25k, but I don't see a way to exclude certain gifts. ?

How to exclude them depends on how they are entered?  Are they a specific fund? If not it is in reference or gift code?

When you say made a list do you mean you created a query? Or a query list or some type of report?

I would create constituent query with Summary Information > Total amount of Gifts. Select gift types to include and any other criteria and then have Fund does not equal and exclude the art sale/ticket sales.  I am assuming they went to specific funds vs. donations.

I don't know how you have these gift entered, but I would look at the use of gift subtypes, which are user defined (as opposed to gift types, which are set and can't be edited).  I imagine that these gifts already have a gift type or stock/property, but subtypes allow you to be even more specific.

The query tool in NXT is quite limited.  I think you may have to move over into database view so you can pull this information as accurately as possible.
