Use of Naming Opportunities

Good morning.  Our stakeholders are interested in using Naming Opportunities in CRM.  During implementation we did convert some naming opportunities from an external database.  Therefore, we do have some naming opportunities linked to revenue records.  However, we know there are other areas, such as Prospect Plans, Opportunities, Designations, etc. where naming opportunities can be stored.  We have some specific questions for anyone who is using naming opportunities.


1. Do you record all possible Naming Opportunities or only those that have been named?

2. Do you record naming opportunities in other areas besides Revenue?  

3. Are there specific "best practices" for using Naming Opportunities?


I am sure that we will have other questions once we dive into this area further.  Would anyone who uses this area be willing to share your knowledge and experience?
