NXT Donation Form Designer - How do you handle multiple gift designations?

We are looking into using the NXT ‘donation form designer’ but don’t know how to make it work with the 2,000+ different gift designations we offer. We do have the option of putting all the different gift designations in a drop down, but it would be difficult to find what you are looking for. How does everyone else handle this with a lot of different gift designation options?
