Non-Constituent Event Attendees

We have community events where many attendees are not RE constituents. This is a great pool of people that we would like to possibly include in a mailing/appeal later down the road, but I don't want to necessarily flood RE with records. Does anyone have a process in place for how you bring new event attendees either into RE or include them in future communications?
