corporate giving program funds best practices

Options
Good morning,
What the best practice is to record employee and corporate giving program funds?  Constituent records are created with just the name, since that is generally all we get. We do not cultivate or recognize the individual. We would like to enter the program as a record and record the month total in the record.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to record these funds properly and efficiently?

  • Hi Joanne, what product is in this reference to and I can move it to that product Community. Thanks!
  • Hi. This is our procedure for Raiser's Edge. We put the $$$ on the corporate record such as Wells Fargo Community Support Campaign. Once we've retrieved the list of employees from Wells Fargo who participated for that round of giving, we verify if the employee is a donor of ours and if so, soft credit the gift to that person. You're correct that many times we don't get the employee's contact information on that corporate listing but we are starting to get a fair amount of employment email addresses. At this time we won't build a donor record just off of an email address, however if I have an email address on the corporate list I will email the employee(s) a thank you for participating in their employer giving campaign and designating us.
