Digital Tickets for Events

Options
Hi, all. Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but hoping it gets routed accordingly if that's the case.

I'm new to my organization, and they're in the middle of a big raffle push that happens every year. In a nutshell, there's several different events where people call in or go online to purchase raffle tickets, which are keyed in by trusted volunteers into Online Express and batched on the "backend" by our gifts entry team. There is then a long process to get physical raffle tickets created, labeled. stuffed, proofed for updates, and mailed out to purchasers, which seems like an extra few steps on an already cumbersome process.

Does anyone have advice on programs that will create a digital version of the raffle tickets to be emailed to purchasers? Is this something a Blackbaud software can do? We use Raiser's Edge (7 and NXT), and have Online Express. If nothing for BB, any favorite programs that can do this?

Just thought it could save my org some extra steps and maybe make the process a little more reliable/instant, too!

Thanks!

  • Moved this post to the Raiser's Edge forums to let RE users weigh in. Thanks!
  • Before you get too far in the process, double check your state's raffle regulations. I can't speak for Kentucky, but here in Minnesota we are required to have physical tickets, and they are very specific on what information must be included on them. Just a heads up that you may not want to spend too much time on digital if your governing board has guidelines that forbid it.
