How do I get a security code to authorize my location?

Options

I can't sign in to my Convio account and keep getting the following message.  I have checked all of my folders and do not have an email fromConvio with my security code or any information on this new requirement.  How do I go about getting the code I need?

You have not authorized your current location for login.

To validate your log in from this location, check your email inbox, junk mail, or spam folders for a security code email.

Copy and paste the code into the Security Code box before your browser session ends.

If you did not receive the email, verify that you checked the correct email account or contact your site administrator.

After validation, the system will no longer prompt you for a code from this location.

  • The security code is automatically sent to the email address on your account whenever Luminate sees you at a location it doesn't recognize. BB turned on a pop-up notice about this new feature a week ago or so.

My security code came from our own default email address set in Luminate (thankyou@luriechildrens.org) so I would assume your spam filters are not interfering.

It's my email address on the account and I am not getting the emails.

Is there a way to bypass this feature, or use a different validator. Because this is eating into productivity?

  • There is not a way to bypass.

Strange you aren't getting the e-mails. I would ask support why that is.

When I work from home I always need to do this. The e-mail comes to the e-mail address associated with your administrator account. Once you put the code in, you are good for the rest of the day at least.

    Thanks,

  • We had a similar problem on our site, and Blackbaud disabled the authentication process. So there is a way to bypass; be aware it is a sitewide setting though.
  • Oh wow. I thought we were stuck with it.

    Thanks for the insight Liz.
  • It’s ok now, they just took a long time to come.

    Thank you :)
