The age old issue of DPI diferences

Options
So I know as per this KB it says to set all displays to the same percentage. https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/105506

How are people dealing with this issue with users on laptops? When my users dock and undock their laptops, the laptop screen is going to be a different DPI scale than the 23" monitors they run when docked.

Is this going to be address in a future Citrix/NXT update? Right now my users have to choose between changing their laptop display down to 100% DPI scaling to use seamless settings so they can actually use their full workspace, or they don't go in and change the DPI scaling every time they dock but instead select a set resolution in the settings, and they're now limited to a single window of Raisers Edge/Financial Edge.

What are other people doing to get past this struggle?

  • We're using Windows 10 and zooming the whole GUI is an option being used by several colleagues:

Settings > Ease of Access > Make everything bigger > 125%

Sometimes the text will look slightly "fuzzy" but that should be solvable - those with long memories will remember a similar problem with the transition from CRT to LED. And it's quick to change the display back when not using Raiser's. Obviously, once Database View is superseded by all the features being in the NXT webview then we'll be over this problem of the 90s.
