Assigned Solicitors for Board Members

If your VP of Development or Executive Director has a portfolio, and they are also manage your board, do you automatically make them the assigned solicitor for all board members? My gut is telling me no, but I'd love to hear what other organizations do. Thank you!

Our Chief Development Officer is also VP of Board Relations.  But, she is not assigned all Board Members as their Prospect Manager.  While some Board Members are assigned to her, several are not (about a 50/50 split).


And Trustees are definitely split among the gift officer staff.
