Phone vs. Email w Reports

Good afternoon, everyone!

I'm in need of your help.  I run a Gift Detail and Summary report every day after I close my gift batch.  The Solicitors then make phone calls to thank each benefactor.  Is there any way to make sure that I get a phone number to populate instead of an email address?  I have organized the Phone Table to have home phone, then cell,, then email, etc.  The problem is that the report chooses "willy-nilly".  Email addresses show up on the report when a home and cell are also available.  I have tried changing the cell or home numbers to primary and removing any email from primary but have had no luck.  I can't choose just one phone type because my database runs the gamut in age groups...some only have a home number, while others only have a cell.

What am I missing??????
