Importing Codes into Tables (Configuration)

I have been trying to import a list of education majors in to the "Major" code table via the import tab.  However, Raiser's Edge does not allow this without a relationship import id.  Since this is a brand new table and I have no constituents to attach these codes to, I cannot import these codes.  The only way to get the codes in to the table is to type each code one by one via Configuration.  It's very tedious when you have a large list to enter.  Is this something that can be updated so lists of codes can be imported easily to their respective code table without having to connect them to a constitutent via the relationship id?

Unfortunately you can't Import directly into the Code Tables.  A workaround would be to import "dummy" Constituents with the codes you want to add, then delete those unwanted Constits.

Yeah, that was confirmed by Support.  I was directed to this location to post my concerns with this.  It would be nice if this could be changed so that codes could be imported directly into the code tables.  It would make set-up easier especially when there are lots of codes to be entered.  We shouldn't have to find a work around like that for something that is an easy fix.  Thank you for your response.
