End of year gifts that come in through OE

Hello all, I'm not sure if this is the place I need to be asking this question. I'm on the east coast and we had three gifts come in from the west coast on 12/31/18. The gift date when downloaded from Online Express shows 12/31/18, but it appears their credit cards got processed on 1/1/19, I'm guessing because of the three hour time difference. Have any of you encountered this, and if so, how did you handle it for year end reporting? The gifts don't come down in the BBMS disbursement report in December, they will show in January, so that's an issue for the finance office. Do we have no choice but to make them 2019 gifts because of this? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much!

I have the same issue and my rule is to follow what the donor intended - so I use the time that West Coast donors submitted their gifts in that time zone and not what the East Coast time was - and I usually have to change the gift date manually in the Batch to make that work.

Ditto what Stephanie Keene‍ said.  We here on the west coast, but sitting on Boston's server, have run into the same experience with a late night donor online.
