Re-engagement/Goodbye Series

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone could share examples of re-engagement series that have proven effective. We are looking to tidy up our database by removing/not emailing nonresponsive individuals.


To provide some background: We want to do a re-engagement series for donors that are in our Luminate database but have not given in over two years. This would be a two-email series. The first email would ask something simple, such as, "Click here to update your email information." If completed, we will know that these individuals at least read through emails and engage with our material, so we would keep them in the group of individuals to email.


The second email would be a goodbye email sent to everyone who did not respond to the first message. It would be a small note thanking them for their support and saying that they will stop receiving emails from us unless they reach out and say otherwise.


Has anyone here tried something like this before? I would appreciate any feedback or advice!
