How to report on Households with Insights and KPIs?

Options
Has anyone figured out how to address Households when dealing with Raiser's Edge NXT Insights and KPIs on Dashboards? Blackbaud was kind enough to have a KB about how to isolate Households in the Database view through Queries (useful for that view's reporting and dashboards), but I haven't been able to locate an equivalent explanation for our new NXT solutions.

I'll explain what we are trying to build:
  • Total revenue for a specific constituency for our current annual giving campaign.
  • Count of Households with that constituency code as the primary.
  • Count of Households with that constituency code as the primary who have given to the current annual giving campaign.
  • ***BONUS*** Percent of Households with that constituency code as the primary who have given to the current annual giving campaign (Participation Percent).
Here's where I am so far...

  • The revenue amount is correct and built out via an Insight.
  • The "# of Alumni" should be Households, right now it is a KPI counting Constituents with "Alumni" as the Primary Constituency Code.
  • The "# of Alumni Donors" is counting individual constituents but is not displaying soft credit only constituents, I want it to count Households (including those with only soft credits; ex. gave through a family foundation).
I can share more details if anyone wants to see configurations or we can do a screen share.

Thank you in advance!

  • You can double check with Customer Support, but I'm pretty sure this feature isn't available.  I just confirmed with them a few days ago that you can't even see who is the Head of Household from someone's constituent record in NXT View.  There is an Idea Bank idea called "Indicate Head of Household on NXT" that I encourage you to vote for here:  https://community.blackbaud.com/products/raisersedgenxt/ideas

You can also submit and create your own idea for including HoH as a Filter in Reporting, Lists, and Dashboards if one doesn't already exist.  In the meantime, Database View is going to be your best bet.
