Event Ticketing - Discounts & Freebees

Has anyone already built and used "duplicate" forms to use as a work-around to enable discount ticket options? I'm curious to learn of it's success. 

Surely I understand the drawback of not having unique discount codes per person but I might have a work-around. That's why it would be very helpful to better understand the whole process....and headaches.  If someone is willing to share online or offline, I'd appreciate it!

  • I have done this.  I have a paid event registration form and then a complementary form.  The comp form is on a hidden web page where it can only be accessed by a direct email that we send with the link.


    The ticket type comes through into the "Participation" field on a particpants record in RE.   I then change that to "Registrant" or "Guest" and make the status either "Paid" or "Complimentary".  This is just kind of how I work it.  May not be the best way but allows me to track the Payment info.
