Newsletter Sign-up Reports

Options
Hello - We use survey's for our Newsletter Sign-ups.  We want to capture how many constituents signed-up in 2017 with the various Newsletter Survey's we created.  Does anyone know of a simple way to do this?

Thank you,

Ron

  • Hi Ron!

There are a few ways. I don't know how many surveys you were using in 2017, but the most straightforward way is to to count or download survey responses from each. Alternatively, you could run a Query to identify all constituents whose System Creation Date was in 2017, but you'll want to limit that somehow (because the amount of results could be huge). If your surveys are configured to create Groups, then you could limit that query by membership in all relevant groups, then voila-- you'll have your count. Hope that helps!

If you run a survey, you could add an interaction clause and then select Survey Submitted and the eNews sign-up surveys that you are looking for. If you add them all to the same Query, you won't be able to see who signed up using which, so you'd have to run a new query for each one if you wanted them separately.
  • If there are Interests attached to the surveys, you can also do also use Report Writer for a Tally of who was added to the group in a set period of time.
  • Hello Andrea - How are you doing?

I created a query using Creation Time falls on or after Jan 1 2017 and falls on or before Dec 31 2017 AND I chose have interaction of type Survey Submitted and included each survey we used (about 14), AND System Active Status equals Active.

I wanted to make sure we were pulling good emails, not spam or those that were blacklisted.  I couldn't use Interest Group because everyone who signs up and donates is automatically added to the Newsletter Group.  I wanted to separate those who signed up vs those who gave and were signed up.  I am assuming that this is the best way to do it, but I was hoping for an easier way to gather the data.
