Trying to link date added to Target Gift Dollar Range in query/export

Options
Hi all - wondering if anyone has any advice on the below:

We recently received our second year Target Analytics data and are looking to incorporate this in how we segment for our Holiday Direct Mail.

I've set up a Dynamic Constituent query to pull Annual Giving Likelihood score of 501-1000 and with a Target Gift Dollar Range of $501-$1,000, amongst a few other criteria (screenshot of criteria attached).

The problem I'm running in to is that we have Target Analytics data from previous dates. I need to link both Target Analytics criteria above with the most recent data date added, which for us is August 23, 2018.

So for example, John Smith has a Target Gift Range (TGR) of $501-$1000 in 2018 Target Analytics but only $51-$100 in 2017. The data that is pulled into my export for TGR is from 2017 even when I change the export criteria for Prospect - Ratings to have a start date of 08/23/18. The inverse of this is happening as well, which is also problematic as someone who has moved up to a potential major giver should not be included in this list. This is important to fix, as the direct mail gift ask array is dependent on the data in the TGR column. I have provided a screen shot of our export as well. I should add that the Annual Giving Likelihood score seems to be pulling accurately, as I don't have any data in that column that doesn't fit with my query criteria.

I'm not currently running anything in the Query Output area.

I'm sure there is probably an obvious fix for this that I'm missing, but my colleague and I have tried everything we can think of. Thanks in advance for any advice!

  • Hi Courtney-

I'm not sure precisely what is causing the problem, but reading your description I wonder if this is the same issue RE has with exporting Constituent Codes and Assigned Solicitors if you choose not to specify the start date in the Export field criteria. After selecting the Ratings you're interested in, try placing your August 23 date in the Start Date of your Export Ratings criteria, like this:

    Does that change your results?

  • Hi Aaron,

Thanks very much for the suggestion - I'd tried that and unfortunately I have the same result; all of my added dates switch to 8/23/2018 but the data in TGR still pulls from previous dates for constituents that have earlier data. Thanks anyway.
