Soft credit in Donor Acknowledge letters

Options
I have templates set up based on letter code that all work well. However, even when I use the soft credit amount field, it still pulls the gift amount field data. Any suggestions??

thanks

  • Hi Kim-

If you would post the code in your letter that would help us figure it out. Like this:

  • Thanks for looking into this

  • The only test where I've been able to replicate your results is where the gift itself actually does have a soft credit amount. If I use Query or Export to output both the Gift Amount and the Soft Credit Amount, all of my Soft Credits Amounts are blank where this is no soft credit on the gift. There's something else going on here. Can you offer any more information?
  • Hi, thanks for looking at this. I am 6 days into a new job and swamped with work. At this stage I have been manually changing the amount, but I know the field should work. The gift is to one constituent and the soft credit to a different constituent. Only the gift amount is appearing to the soft credit recipient. Eg company x gives $500 John Smith is soft credited $75 the letter should go to John smith with soft credit of $75 but John Smith letter says $500 or blank.
I will get back to trouble shooting in a few weeks. Any insight appreciated.
    Kim
