Staff Form to Create New Funds in Raiser's Edge / RE to track tax deductibility, benefits, details, etc.

Options
Hi, I am the new database admin for my org, and we need to streamline our internal staff form that staff would complete prior to incoming revenue of which we would need a new fund ID set up for. I would also like for this form to track other gift details like tax deductibility, benefits, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations if a template exists for this, or do you have an example that you can share? I understand every org is different in terms of what needs to be on the form, however I would appreciate any suggestions or if you can point me in the right direction. Thank you so much! Best, Maile V.

Whew, interesting, I thought as a read your post. Pulled up your info to see what your org was. A museum. Yes, your needs are probably much different than ours.

As you said every org is different. We rarely add new funds. If it is done it's at CEO or CFO's request. This could be in part due to the fact that we have been linked with FE. I also try to limit funds and appeals whenever possible. In just 10 years, the lists can get quite large.

So, I don't have a form to share with you. Hope someone else has something for you. Best wishes.
  • I came to this thread hoping to see more responses because I'm also looking for a form for this now that our Finance team has gone through a bunch of changes and moved onto new software.....but I see I have to wait like you.
  • We just created a form.  In our case, all of our funds/projects are fully tax deductible so we don't have that line on the form (though it can be added should we find the need for that).  The filled out form is supposed to be sent to a person in Finance who creates the code in FE and myself who does it in RE (that way we can coordinate the codes and I can map the GL in RE).  It's a very basic form.  I hope I successfully attached it.
  • Tatyana Leifman‍ thanks for sharing your form!  I need a few other and/or different bits on info, but it's good inspiration.
