Pivot Report and Excel

When I create a pivot report, the default location to where the Excel file is created is:


C:\\Users\\XXX\\AppData\\Local\\Temp


I cannot find any option to configure this location unlike with an export. If you move the Excel file created, the refresh of the file doesn't work as Raiser's Edge is looking for the file in this specific location.  Version of RE is 7.96.


Is it possible to choose where the Excel file is created?

  • Thanks Melissa.  Unfortunately, I've already tried that in the import/export data and excel fields and still defaults to the temp folder...

    logout and back in the system recognizes our folders.  We’re
    hosted.

  • Thanks Anne.  Tried logging out and in again and still no luck.  We're not hosted so wonder if that may be part of the issue...
  • My org is unable to use this save to computer feature because our security settings prevent us from saving onto the C: Drive, but the one time I've seen someone use this functionality in person, that was the only place she was able to save it.  It may be that there is no way around this.  I'd try talking to your local IT people to see if perhaps your firewall and/or security settings are limiting you in some way, Seetal Gandhi‍
