Help Setting Up a Survey

I work for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh and we are preparing to respond to Hurricane Florence. I would like to use a Luminate Survey to gather volunteer sign-ups so we can use the email feature to contact them going forward and be able to easily pull excel spreadsheets with contact information based on the city(ies) they expressed interest in. Any help is greatly appreciated!


Right now I have the survey set up and when people select a city, it signs them up for an interest group, which will allow me to email them later. But when I download the survey responses, it isn't simple to sort by city. Is there a better way to do this? Or another way to pull a report of everyone who is signed up in an interest group?

  • I think you might be better off using Constituent 360 groups for this. On step 2, the sidebar has a link called "Create Group by Survey Response." These groups are selectable in email as an audience. Easy peasy.
  • Is there an easy way to export a single Group with contact information from Constituent 360? E.g. - We have people signing up to volunteer in New Bern, Wilmington, and Fayetteville. If I wanted to pull just the list of who signed up in Fayetteville, is that possible?

    I use Mail Merge for this.
