Mail question - We would like to have Gift ID

Hi,

I am looking at using the mail module to build our receipt report but I don’t see all of the fields we use. Is there a work around for this or did I miss them?  Our current process uses a query, which we then import into a custom Crystal report. I would like to move it all into RE but without the fields I am stuck.

I could work around GL postdate but I do need Gift ID because we use it as our receipt number.

I think you could use the Receipts Report from Mail module (and export to Excel) and on the general tab click on "create a Gift output query". Then you can use that query to over on an Export to pull the fields you need and append those fields to your Receipts Report using vlookup function in Excel to match records. (That's unless once you get to Export module, all of the fields you need from the Receipts Report are there to export, plus the additional fields you need, so then you can skip exporting from Mail module and skip doing the vlookup to match records.) Pretty sure that's a workaround that would work.
