'Reason for Conversion' in Regular Giving

Options
Hi All,

We've come from a Salesforce product where, from a drop down, you could choose how people became a regular giver (eg, phone conversion, appeal donation form, online etc).

Any tips for how we might be able to replicate something like this in RE?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

  • Hi Andrew-

Assuming you have clearly defined what "regular giver" means so you know who to track, you could create a new Constituent Attribute called something like, "Regular Giver Source" (or "Reason for Conversion" or whatever language makes the most sense for your organization) and make that Attribute a table populated with your comprehensive list of Regular Giver sources. Check the Attribute Active checkbox and Only Allow 1 per Record checkbox, but don't check the Required checkbox or else all constituents will need to have a value. My $0.02.

    Hi Andrew,

Great question! We have not set up our regular givers in RE and this is a great idea to do so. Aaron- thanks for the how to. :)

  • Thanks Aaron - that makes perfect sense and seems the most logical way to track the conversion reason.

    Thanks for the quick response.

  • What Aaron Rothberg‍ suggested is exactly how my database handles this situation.
