Best practices for embedding forms on third party website (like corporate sponsor)

Options
Hi everyone,

We use Online Express for our donation forms. Earlier this week, our corporate team asked us to create a form for a company who wants to raise funds for us - essentially asking us to give them the javascript for a donation form so the company can embed it on their website. I am uncomfortable with this request and feel like we should only embed the donation forms on our own website. Can anyone share feedback or best practices about this type of request?

Thanks,

Lindsey

    Hello Lindsey,

I am not sure what the best practice would be, but I do agree with you. I would feel the same way if another company asked us to provide them the javascript. I am going to follow this post in the post to get some answers to this question as well. Best of luck to you.

  • I would be nervous about this too, as it links directly to RE.  I would suggest a special form, yes, but their site just links to wherever it sits on your site, which would be it's own page, and perhaps only navigable to from that link.  You can take some steps to make your page look more like their site, like putting their logo on it somewhere too.
