Updating Multiple Letters in MAIL

Options
Is there a way to update multiple letters at once in MAIL? I have approx 50 letters specific to events of gift types. They all contain, "rescued over xx pounds of food last year"  and need to be updated to xy. Is there any way that is more efficient or faster than opening each one through Mail Wizard?

I would love to know the answer to this, too! I was updating only about 8-10 letters last week and it was time-consuming (and a little painful:-).
  • I'm not aware of any way to update multiple letters at once. I've been wrong before but logically don't know how it could be done in any software other than having all the files open and doing a search and replace.
  • There may be some "trick ways" of doing this by having your word docs reference another data source for that but it gets very technical and tricky so I do not advise it.

What I do advise is thinking about why you have/need 50 letters. That is way too many. Why are you not using different conditional statements in just a few (or one) letters. If event = x enter y, if event = a enter b, etc.

Sounds like a great idea. I am not fluent in conditional statements. Time to review. Thank you!  ~ Susan
