Additional funds on an event registration form.

I am trying to add another fund in the Additional Donation section of an event form, what would enable our guests to donate money to a fund of their choice, rather than one that the form currently allows.Is it possible, and how? Thank you. Norbert

Hi Norbert,

Is your event trying to raise funds for more than one area of support for your organization?  We had an event that was supporting 4 areas and I picked one of the funds (the Unrestricted one) to have on the Event Payment form - then I just gave it a different description to display related to the Event - when I processed the payment batch with any donation amount, I created 4 rows in the batch to allocate the 4 donation amounts (it was allocated 25% each per the Advancement office, so the donor could not choose a different split or assign it all to one area).  It was a lot of additional work and the outcome was we've now asked Advancement to consider having only one area of support (one fund) for an Event if we're going to use Online Express to generate the event payment form.

Thank you very much for that suggestion. I am
trying to offer our participants booking for an event a choice of
more than one fund to make a donation to, and I was hoping that
there was a way of adding a number of funds in the form itself to
create a list of funds that a person booking for an event could
choose from. Thank you once again for replying and for your time.
If nothing else works and we cannot change anything in the set-up
of the form, we may have to take on your solution.
