Tribute blurb in donation form on Thank Yous tab

Options
Our organization has the tribute module and when we allow the option for people to give IMO or IHO through OE, it has a hard coded blurb it puts into the email TY -- "A letter of acknowledgement will be sent on your behalf to..." -  we feel this wording is inaccurate. ln the context of donating, "acknowledge" means to "to thank." It is the donor who should be thanked and the honoree who should be notified. We would love it to say something like "We will share news of your tribute with..." instead, but unfortunately can't change it on our own. Is there an chance of making this wording available instead of hidden behind the scenes so it can be tweaked to be the way we want it? Or changing it from saying acknowledgement to notification? It seems to be part of the "Transaction Details" insert.

When the donor reads in the auto-reply that we will be thanking their honoree, they get confused. They then assume they must have inaccurately entered their tribute on the credit card form. A bad donor experience, unnecessary time invested by us if the donor emails us for help. Thank you!

You should add this idea to the OLX Idea Bank (https://community.blackbaud.com/products/onlineexpress/ideas).  There are few other ideas that surround the hidden language of this insert, but specifically concerning the topic of your suggestion.

  • Great idea! We also have donors get confused with this language.

  • I'm very new to Online Express, but if it's got the same capability as NetCommunity does, then you might be able to alter that.  Try looking around section 4 of your form, the Fine Tuning area.  I just went into the one form we've created so far, and I found some ability to alter the basic text of the form.
