Dear Friend of DOROT,

As we face another hot summer, when others flee the city and leave the elderly behind, please remember the men and women who rely on our services every day by making a gift to DOROT.

To express our gratitude for your kind support of DOROT s programs, I cannot find words more eloquent than those of our seniors. Here are just a few of the "thank-you s" they have sent us.

The young woman who came to me with the holiday goodies spent a nice visit here. All your young people are wonderful a walk in the park, a shopping trip to the supermarket, holding a young strong arm, receiving a visit these are things that make my life full... DOROT is living proof that the best of humanity is close by.

When you are past ninety, you are a bit unpredictable. It is difficult when your eyes, your ears, and your muscles go out on you. You have no idea how terribly lonesome it can become. And along comes DOROT with your volunteers to talk to. These young people have understanding, cheer, and sympathy. It s really a joy and something to look forward to.
