OLX Event Forms for Events with Multiple Sub-events?

Options
Hello -

I work at a College and we are attempting to build our Homecoming registration page through OLX. The problem is Homecoming isn't just ONE event, it takes place on multiple days and there are multiple events people can 'register' for each day. Is there any way to create a form that allows individuals to select which events they want to attend vs. entering in their (and their guests) information for each event? We know we can create attributes for the various events, but this still doesn't solve the problem of people having to enter in names and contact information over and over for each event they want to attend.

If anyone has found a workaround or knows of a solution to make this user friendly for the guest, please let me know!

Thanks -

  • Our workaround has been to create multiple price levels for the multiple events.  These price levels represent the different events.  This is different from grouping multiple events into a single group, which you can do in NetCommunity, but not in OLX.  For example, a price "level" might be a Saturday Luncheon, or a Dental College Reunion, etc.  These price levels can be for both free and paid events.

Once the different price levels are set up, all these events will show up on a single OLX form, and people can register multiple registrants for multiple events.

One additional tweak you can optionally do - if you have special pricing rates for events if the registrants register early; make 2 different pricing levels - i.e. Saturday Luncheon Early Bird (@ $25, $0 receipt), and Saturday Luncheon Regular (@ $35, $0 receipt).  Then in OLX, check the early bird and uncheck the regular price during the early bird period.  Then after the early bird period expires, check the regular price and uncheck the early bird price.  This will change out your pricing options on the web site.  And don't worry about your internal pricing level names, because you can call them anything you want on the website.
