Prospect Tab

Options
The roll of the Catholic Community Foundation for Eastern SD is to secure funding for ministries within the diocese and beyond.  We are introduced to potential donors within the local community or parish community level before they are ready for a relationship with the Foundation.  The prospect tab is very helpful when tracking financial support however we would like to track donor behaviors and response.  So within the proposal I have set up attributes that will reflect where the constituent is in relation to getting involved.  Example: Category = Small Group (where we met) Description= Parish Support (what constituent committed to) .    The problem I am having is getting the information to output into a report that is easy to follow.  Query/Export to Excel reflects multiple empty cells on the spreadsheet.....  Any ideas out there?

Perhaps you could use the Classification and Prospect Status fields on the Prospect General tab as these can be set up specific to your needs in RE: Configuration. Use classification to track the category and the Prospect Status field to track their commitment. If the fields you are tracking are not specific to a proposal, but to the prospect, these fields would be more appropriate.  Unfortunately there is no canned report in the prospect module to report on these two fields specifically, but you could use a query to pull constituents based on the Classification and/or Prospect status field, and then pull them into the report you want to use, and it won't have to be a prospect report, it could be any report that is giving you the information you want for these prospects.

If you are already using the Classification and Prospect Status fields for something else, I would recommend setting up constituent attributes. Hope this helps. Best, Kathy
