Event Participation Report

Hello!

We are new to Raiser's Edge NXT and used Online Express to create a form for Online Registration.

How do I create a report that gives me participants' - name, address, telephone number, email, t-shirt size and route distance?

I can get some of the information but not all of the information to pull.

Thank you!

The easiest option would be to export the information through "Export". That way you can incorporate both constituent information and participant information.

We use a participant type query and then export the data.

This is what we mainly do, also a major benefit of an export over a query for events is you can keep all details relating to an event registrant on one line rather than many. Event query outputs usually give one to many results (For example if they have multiple tickets, they have guests attached to it etc), however with an event export you can get all of that information on one row.

If you're new to RE NXT then I would suggest getting a good understanding of how an export definition differs from a query and what information it can pull out, it's crazy powerful :)

If you want to explore what else they can do with other parts of the system, let me know :) I use to use them for online event attendee lists, alumni found it useful to know who had signed up aswell as what part of the event they attended, in some cases it drove up participation to the event.

Austin, I'd love to know more about your last paragraph.  Currently, I use pivot tables to generate a list of registrants and then copy and paste that info into our website to show alumni who has registered for an event.  I'd love to see/hear ideas about other ways to do this.
